Congratulations, Gerphil!

Congratulations with fists raised in the air are in order as the Asia’s Golden Girl Gerphil Flores graduates Cum Laude from the University of the Philippines Diliman.
 
After six years in college, Gerphil has succeeded in completing two degrees at the College of Music. The singer now holds a diploma in Creative Performing Arts and a bachelor’s degree in Music in which she received the distinction of Cum Laude.

Lord, thank you! I can finally harvest what I've planted since 2010. In a span of 6 years, I am overjoyed to announce that I finished two degrees (Diploma in Creative Performing Arts & Bachelors in Music- Cum Laude) at The College of Music, University of the Philippines Diliman. Although it wasn't always a smooth ride, I am truly blessed with all the experiences I had as an undergraduate student including my Asia's Got Talent stint as I not only represented my country but also my beloved university. Of course, none of these beautiful experiences would have happened without the undying love and support of my family, mentors and friends. Mom, thank you for everything. People often say you're too protective because they always see you with me and sometimes, they see your "mataray" side but what they don't know is that you are just protecting me. Dad, selbst wenn du in Hamburg bist, bin ich für die Inspiration noch dankbar. To my mentors, thank you for unselfishly sharing your knowledge on music and honing my craft. “Although it wasn’t always a smooth ride, I am truly blessed with all the experiences I had as an undergraduate student including my ‘Asia’s Got Talent’ stint as I not only represented my country but also my beloved university,” Gerphil shared on Instagram.
 
She also acknowledged the love and support of her family, mentors and friends who were part of her latest feat.
 
For her mom: “Thank you for everything. People often say you’re too protective because they always see you with me and sometimes, they see your “mataray” side but what they don’t know is that you are just protecting me.”
 
For her dad who is in Germany: “selbst wenn du in Hamburg bist, bn ich fur die Inspiration noch dankbar (Even if you are in Hamburg, I am still grateful for the inspiration).”
 
For her mentors: “Thank you for unselfishly sharing your knowledge on music and honing my craft.”
 
She ended her post dedicating her graduation to them. She said, “The triumph is not mine but yours!”
