Joey de Leon wished his wife a happy birthday while also poking fun at grandson Jakob Ethan at the same time.
You can always count on Eat Bulaga Dabarkad Joey de Leon to deliver a punchline, even when giving a birthday greeting. And on the occasion of his wife Eileen Macapagal's birthday, it was his grandson Jakob who was the butt of the joke.
On his Instagram account, Joey posted a photo of Jakob, while asking his wife Eileen to let him make her smile before the end of the day in the caption.
He wrote, “(B)ayaan mong bago matapos ang araw na ito ay regaluhan kita ng isang bagay na magpapangiti sa iyo, pagpapatunay na TUMUBO na nang maganda ang ating pagmamahalan!”
The punchline, however, was the penultimate sentence in the caption: “Cute 'no? Pwedeng girl din kahit boy 'yan ngek!”
Jokes aside, Joey has been spending a lot of time with Jakob Ethan posting frequently about his grandson on his Instagram account.
When he's not fawning over his grandchild, Joey is encouraging people to get the COVID-19 vaccine, even posting a jingle inspired by the Christmas song "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” on his Instagram account.
"Ayos nang protektado, hindi ka kakabakaba, braso ay ihanda na,” he sang. "Pero 'pag tapos ka na, ituloy niyo pa ang pagsusuot ng maskara at social na distansya."
