Jung Ho Yeon and Jennie were friends even before 'Squid Game' launched Ho Yeon to stardom

Squid Game may have turned newbie actress Jung Ho Yeon into a star, but that doesn't mean the model-turned-actress didn't already have superstar friends of her own -- like BlackPink's Jennie.

Ho Yeon delighted her fans and Blinks alike after she posted a photo of the K-pop star visiting the set of the hit Netflix show. As of this writing, the post already has more than 3 million likes and 59,933 comments.

The set visit isn't the only thing that Jennie has done for her friend. Ho Yeon's co-star Lee Jung Jae also revealed that Jennie had also sent a coffee truck to the set.

While “Squid Game” has its share of established Korean performers, a Filipino actor was also able to be part of the production. Player 276 was played by Christian Lagahit or Chris Chan, a Filipino working in South Korea as an English teacher.
