Maxene Magalona shares the story of how she accomplished a fit and healthier physique in a year.

According to Maxene, she is appreciating the journey to a healthier lifestyle that transpired for a year. Through exercise, a balanced diet and a positive mindset were able to achieve her goal.

She said, “Really enjoying my fitness and wellness journey so far! In a span of 1 year, I was able to lose 30 lbs with a balanced diet, 1,200-calorie meals on weekdays and cheat meals on weekends, yoga 4x a week plus yoga at home everyday, gym 3x a week and the most important factor of all -- a positive mindset.”

Maxene also revealed that she got the push and inspiration from her husband, Rob Mananquil. “I always used to doubt myself and put myself down but when I met my husband @robmananquil (who is truly the most supportive and encouraging partner), he made me see the light. Just when I was on the verge of giving up, always telling myself 'hanggang dito na lang ako,' he made me believe in myself and really see my self-worth.”

To end her lengthy post, she gave a piece of advice to followers on what to do in order to reach their goals. She said, “Now I understand how important it is to train our minds to be more positive and to not let negativity weigh us down. More than just the physical aspect of this journey, I'm grateful for how awesome and amazing I feel on the inside.
