'La Doña' is GTV's newest telenovela and combines the element of drama, crime thriller, and romance.
Guess who got wind of La Doña making it to Philippine television?
It's no other than Mexican superstar Aracely Arámbula, who portrayed the lead role of Altagracia in the hit telenovela.
Aracely shared today, August 10, on her social media accounts the Philippine trailer of La Doña, which made its strong debut on GTV yesterday, August 9.
La Doña follows the story of Altagracia, a powerful woman seeking to avenge the death of her parents and the abuse that she suffered at the hands of a group of wicked men.
The harrowing incident turned her life upside down and will continue to haunt her while simultaneously falling in love with a charming lawyer.
“My beautiful #Arafamilia gives me so much joy and emotion that our beloved story continues to be told in different languages, grateful and very happy to hear,” Aracely wrote on Facebook.
Aracely's social media posts garnered positive reactions from her fans.
One Instgram follower from the Philippines wrote, “OMG this is from the Philippines! We enjoy watching 'La Doña' and 'La Patrona' here! Kisses from the Philippines.”
Catch La Doña on GTV every Monday to Friday from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., with replays at 11:30 p.m. every Monday to Thursday and 11 p.m. on Friday.
La Doña is also seen every Saturday from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Incidentally, the series comes after the Thai drama In Time with You, which its lead star Mo Monchanok Saengchaipiangpen also recently shared an image made by GTV to promote the program.
