In a series of Instagram snaps, he documented how his first day of school went.

In one of his photos, he captioned that he is now on his second year of college.

Miguel is currently taking up Entrepreneurial Management in De La Salle University - Dasmariñas Campus.

In an exclusive message sent by Miguel to GMANetwork.com, he said that "Na-miss ko 'yung school. [I'm] happy kasi I'm on my second year of college and sana tuloy-tuloy at matapos ko. Nakaka-miss 'yung school environment. Also, I have to adjust because I have new sets of classmates. Pero fun! Konti lang subjects ko this semester to make way for my tapings."

Aside from going back to school, the Kapuso Matinee Idol is going back to his roots with his role as Pagaspas who is making a cameo in Encantadia.
