The "Cinderellas" of Miss Universe--both of them coming from humble beginnings--are happy to meet face to face.
Miss Universe-Vietnam 2018 H'Hen Niê was delighted when she met former Miss Universe-Philippines Venus Raj during her stay in the country.
On Instagram, H'Hen called Venus her "sister."
“Miss Universe sisters in Terno. I'm so happy to see you, my sis @onlyvenusraj,” she wrote in the caption.
Venus returned the favor, saying it's a joy meeting H'Hen.
Netizens quickly pointed out the similarities between the two beauty queens, not just in appearance but in experience, calling them 'the Cinderellas of Miss Universe.'
Venus reached the Top 5 of Miss Universe 2010 while H'Hen also finished as a Top 5 finalist in Miss Universe 2018.
Both of these girls also experienced poverty in their life. Venus lived in a nipa hut in the middle of a rice field without electricity.
Meanwhile, H'Hen worked in a coffee farm to help her family.
