The Miss World Philippines 2017 will have a new crown on her head this coming Sunday (September 3). It was specifically made for the new queen who embodies Miss World Philippines’ “beauty with a purpose.”
Miss World 2013 Megan Young and jewelry designer Manny Halasan were part of the team who made “The Crown of the Pearl of the Orient Seas” come to life.
“We wanted to make the crown for the new queen who really represents the Philippines. We made sure it had details like the pearls [because] they represent the Pearl of the Orient, and the sapphire which represents the beautiful seas and the islands that we have in the Philippines,” the Kapuso star said during the Miss World Philippines Charity Gala Night yesterday (August 31) at New World Hotel Makati.
