She posed for a selfie together with Miss Intercontinental 2016 Heilymar Rosario whom she met at a pre-pageant event on January 20 (Philippine Time).

Katarina is currently leading with Korea and Indonesia for Miss Sunrise Resorts 2017. The winner will automatically gain a spot in the Top 6 during the pageant night.
