Beauty queen maker Jonas Gaffud posted a close up shot of the Miss Universe crown that Pia Wurtzbach won yesterday.
The new crown, made for the pageant last year, reflects the skyline of New York, the city that houses the Miss Universe Organization and its titleholders.
According to the pageant’s official website, it took craftsmen 3,000 hours to create the crown which is meant to 'symbolize and express the beauty, stability, confidence and power of women around the world.'
Weighing 411 grams and valued at around 14 million pesos, it is embellished with light blue topaz stones, dark blue sapphire stones, small polished diamonds, and white gold all cased in high quality Italian leather.
Pia is second to wear the crown, after 2014 title holder Colombian Paulina Vega.
