Former Kapuso star Queenie Padilla praised actress KC Concepcion for her decade of dedication as United Nations World Food Programme’s ambassador.

Wearing a hijab, Queenie said, “She looks absolutely stunning. 10 years, she has served in the UN. What a wonderful achievement! Keep shining and flying, KC. You are beautiful inside and out, and an inspiration for Filipino women.”

KC flew to Mindanao to participate in rebuilding Marawi after its devastation last year. She brought her dear friend, Chef Tony Boy Escalante, on her trip to serve the beautiful people of Marawi.

These trips are so valuable to me- the people I meet and come in close contact with up in the mountains make me realize how ONE PERSON can impact you in more ways than you can imagine. Also, some of our problems are NOTHING compared to what these people have gone through. And yet, they choose to be happy. Keep your circle positive and always CHOOSE TO BE HAPPY. ???? || Thank you @worldfoodprogramme_official for the work that you do & allowing me to bring my dear friend, the generous & passionate Chef Tony Boy Escalante, as our guest. #UnitedNations #WFP #Survivors #BattleofMarawi #Kacepirations || Swipe xx

(13 March 2018) After 10 years of going on our UN @worldfoodprogramme_official missions alone, I am finally able to invite friends to come with me & my team on the WFP mission field... Big, heartfelt thanks to my dear friend, renowned Chef Tony Boy Escalante (of @antoniostagaytay @balaydako @breakfastatantonios) for being so game to join us on the field!!! ???? Spécial thanks also to the talented @curatedbyrob who captured wonderful moments to remember & shared his time with us too. The beautiful people of Marawi will never forget this heartwarming & comforting experience with you... Neither will I. ????????? Chicken Malunggay-Monggo (Moringa-Mungbean) Meatballs in a Squash & Rice Porridge were served to primary school kids & their teachers, who happen to be brave survivors of the Marawi siege. ????
