Kapuso broadcast journalist Raffy Tima just ticked an item off his bucket list when he finished a full Ironman over the weekend.
Raffy took part in the first full Ironman in the Philippines that was held in Subic on June 3. The inaugural triathlon event involved a 1.9-kilometer ocean swim, a 180-kilometer bike ride, and a 42.2 kilometer marathon run.
While the task appeared to be daunting, Raffy was able to complete it with an impressive result.
“Did it! Another one off my bucket list. Honored to have been part of the first ever full Ironman race in the Philippines. Our body is truly amazing! My Kalinga legs carried me through,” he claimed in a photo who snapped at the finish line.
His wife and fellow Kapuso broadcast journalist Mariz Umali also took to Instagram her pride for his latest achievement. According to her post, Raffy finished the whole race under 15 hours.
She wrote, “Congratulations to my IRONMAN — @raffytima!!! Super galing mo mahal! It was such a grueling feat especially for someone who barely had time to train due to work but nonetheless u accomplished it with flying colors so proud of u! Thank You, Lord.”
