While many of us boast about watching almost all K-Dramas that exist, one Pinay in South Korea is living the life that many Filipino K-Drama fans can only dream of: studying in South Korea, meeting Korean actors, and appearing in K-Dramas! And not just in one or two K-Dramas, but over 50 K-Dramas!
Meet Noreen Joyce Guerra, a Filipina who moved to South Korea in 2015 as an international student.

Noreen, who took up a Master of Business Administration at the Sookmyung Women's University, also worked part-time as translator and assistant stage director in an entertainment-related events company.
And that's where she developed her interest in drama and movie production.
In an interview in GMA Public Affairs' program iJuander, Noreen said, “Sinabihan ako ng mga producer tsaka director kung gusto ko raw mag-on-cam kasi nga lagi akong off-cam.
“Pwede raw ako mag-on-cam kasi maliit daw 'yung mukha ko.”
Before appearing in K-Dramas, Noreen also experienced being rejected by agencies handling foreign talents.
“I tried to submit my profile sa Korean agencies naman that handle Korean talents. So ayun, doon ako nakuha, actually. Kaya 'yun 'yung reason kung baklit 'yung mga role ko sa dramas is Korean.”
Noreen also shared how strict Koreans can be when it comes to Tv and film production.
“Kahit 'yung call time namin kunwari is 6 a.m., dapat nandoon na kami sa location at 5:30, kasi nga marami pang gagawin.
“Pagdating sa location, pumupunta kami doon sa sasakyan ng stylist to get the uniform. Kasi kailangan naming magbihis ng uniform before kami pumasok doon sa shoot mismo.
“So ayun, while nagse-set up 'yung staff ng mga cameras and other equipment, kami naman nagbibihis tsaka nagpre-prepare.
The Filipina background actor also revealed why Korean stars always look picture-perfect on screen.
“In between breaks parang inaayos ng mga stylist nila. Kasi 'pag dumating sila sa location, may stylist, may manager, may hair (stylist), may makeup (artist). So ayun nga, minimum of four people 'yung naka-ano sa (kanila).”
Aside from her acting gigs, Noreen is also busy vlogging about her acting experience and their film locations.
In one of her vlogs, Noreen shared some of the most memorable K-Dramas she's appeared in.
She said her first-ever on-screen appearance was in the series 'The Smile Has Left Your Eyes.'
Noreen said she wore a Korean high school uniform for the first time in the K-Drama 'The Blessing of the Sea,' where she got to work with Korean actor Jae Hee.

Another unforgettable moment for Noreen was when she appeared in the series 'The Encounter,' starring Song Hye-kyo and Park Bo-gum.
Noreen said it was a dream come true for her because she has been a Song Hye-kyo fan for a long time.
She also revealed that she was able to have an actual conversation with Park Bo-gum.

Noreen narrated, “While on break, chika-chika. I mean, siya 'yung first actor na naki-chika talaga sa amin.
“Tapos tinanong niya kami--kasi that was like 2 a.m. (or) 3 a.m.--tinanong niya kami kung paano kami uuwi, kung saan kami nakatira, kung pagod ba kami.”

Noreen was also ecstatic about working with actress Kim Tae-hee in the series 'Hi Bye, Mama!'
“It was my first time seeing Kim Tae-hee. She was very pretty and very nice. Like walang kaarte-arte.”
And one of Noreen's more recent projects is the K-drama 'True Beauty,' where she appeared several times in one frame with one of her favorite Korean actresses Moon Ga-young.
Other memorable K-Drama series that Noreen was part of were 'Extra Curricular,' 'Itaewon Class,' 'True Beauty,' 'Extraordinary You,' and 'Doctor John,' where she played a flight attendant.
Noreen also appeared in a 2019 Chinese drama titled 'Reset Life,' which was produced in South Korea and starred popular Chinese actor Darren Wang.
