During the ninth week of 'Love in the Moonlight,' Crown Prince Lee Yeong meets Hong Ra-on's father, the leader of the rebels and his father's worst nightmare.
As the successful historical drama comes to an end, Crown Prince Lee Yeong meets Hong Ra-on's father in the flesh.
Hong Gyong-nae, the leader of the rebels and Ra-on's father, gets caught and is visited by Crown Prince Lee Yeong at the prison cells inside the palace. Lee Yeong asks what he stands for and why he is challenging the palace. Gyong-nae answers the people should be the ones to pick those who will rule as they will have to serve them.
Since Hong Ra-on's father got captured her life is placed in more danger as the palace guards search for her. Kim Byung-yeon and Crown Prince Lee Yeong try their best to hide her inside the palace. Lee Yeong takes Ra-on to a secret place that used to be his mother's resting space.
Crown Prince Lee Yeong makes a way for Hong Ra-on to meet her father in the prison cells. The two get to meet and talk expressing their longing to be with each other. Gyong-nae said he tried so hard to make the world a better place for his child that he lost sight of being a father. Will they get the father and daughter bond they longed for?
