Audiences are in for an emotional rollercoaster as Empoy Marquez returns to the big screen with Batang Paco, a heartwarming family action-comedy that promises laughs, tears, and plenty of heroic moments.
Set to open in cinemas nationwide on February 18, Batang Paco marks the maiden offering of MiVida Productions, Inc., officially launching the new film outfit's 2026 slate with a story that puts family, love, and courage front and center.
The film stars Empoy as Paco, a soft-spoken and timid tattoo artist whose quiet life is turned upside down when his young daughter is kidnapped by a ruthless crime syndicate. Thrust into a dangerous mission, Paco is forced to confront his fears and push beyond his limits. Driven by unconditional love, he must find the courage to become the hero his daughter believes him to be.
“Hindi perpekto si Paco — pero gagawin niya ang lahat para sa anak niya,” Empoy described one of his most relatable and emotionally grounded roles to date. Known for his effortless humor, the actor also brings warmth and vulnerability to the character, making Paco's journey deeply resonant.
Blending comedy, action, romance, and drama, Batang Paco is designed as a family-friendly film that appeals to Pinoy movie buffs and casual viewers alike. Set against the vibrant and chaotic streets of Manila, the movie delivers laugh-out-loud moments, thrilling action sequences, and touching emotional beats.
