The Kapuso actress was pleasantly surprised when she went to Frazzled Cook at Sct. Gandia, Quezon City, where she thought she would just have a quick business meeting.

In a quick message before the party began, Lovi thanked everyone who took time to join her advance birthday celebration. Lovi's birthday falls on February 11.

“I've been away for a while and I've recently been through a lot of personal changes, stress, and anxiety.

“This reminds me of how I have you guys around me, the people I love and people who love me. Thank you so much,” she said.

In a short chat with entertainment media, including GMANetwork.com, Lovi further expressed gratitude to people who came to her party.

“Dito ko makikita 'yung effort ng mga tao, siyempre, through time, parang kahit gaano kayo ka-close, minsan talagang busy ang schedule.

“At saka malayo sila because of traffic and all.

“But just to see my friends and family na ang tagal ko nang hindi nakikita na nandito, ang sarap ng pakiramdam.”

The party was attended by her sister, Senator Grace Poe, with son Brian Llamanzares, fellow actors Benjamin Alves, Tony Labrusca, Albie Casino, and Dina Bonnevie.

Directors Joel Lamangan, Manny Valera, Jay Altarejos, and writer Ricky Lee were also there to wish Lovi a happy birthday.

Meanwhile, when asked for her birthday wish, Lovi set her personal intentions aside and hoped for positivity in general.

She said, “My wish, siguro a lot of good things have been happening now. I'm just really grateful.

“Sana magtuluy-tuloy, that every year I grow into a better person.

“Also, a lot of positive things to happen with everybody not just me.

“With everything that's been happening now, I think everyone needs to gather and be strong.

“You know, pray harder because you're not supposed to pray just for yourself.

“It's about praying for everyone. I think with what happened earlier this year should probably be an eye-opener to everybody, just to keep the faith and be one with God.”

Lovi also explained the anxiety she mentioned earlier.

“I guess it's just with everything that's been happening.

“Yung parang, it's kinda worrying. It's not just something personal.

“It makes you realize a lot of things, You can't just keep praying for yourself or for your loved one.

“You should be praying for everyone else. Kasi, parang everyone is caught up in the situation na parang, 'I have to be the best.'

“But we forget to be able to reach such positivity,” she concluded.
