Lovi will play Gregoria de Jesus aka Oryang in the indie film 'Lakambini.'

Kapuso leading lady Lovi Poe takes on a new challenge as she breathes life into Gregoria de Jesus, more known as Oryang, in the indie movie Lakambini.

In one of her Instagram photos, the morena beauty is seen wearing the traditional baro’t saya. She noted, “Very excited and at the same time nervous for this project. I will be portraying a role of a very influential person that made history in our country. SOON!”

Oryang is the wife of Katipunan founder Andres Bonifacio and also dubbed as the ‘Ina ng Katipunan.’
