One of the downsides of growing houseplants is the responsibility of giving them the right amount of light, moisture, and humidity they need.
Aside from enough sunlight, most indoor plants need more frequent watering than they would if they were planted outdoors. This is because the soil dries out quickly in containers.
But this is not a problem for cacti, as these desert plants can adapt to dry air and average room temperatures. Although some sun is necessary for cactus health, many species will do well with just supplementary lighting.

A cactus plant is also self-sustaining as it stores moisture in its leaves, stems, and roots. It regulates its food intake as well.
Aside from the fact that it is perfect for the not-so-green-fingered as it's not as high maintenance as other house plants, a cactus is a great addition to your green space at home.
In a report on Unang Hirit, those cute spiky plants with various species are said to bring good luck.
According to Chinese Feng Shui, cactus symbolizes wise spending.
It is believed that cacti can redirect the negative energy and balance the house energy flow, bringing positive changes into your home.

Here's a guide on where to properly place your cactus plants for good luck:
1. Place the rounded cactus in sunny spots with good airflow in your home, like your balcony and window sill.
2. For the none-rounded cacti, it will be best to put them in your restrooms or near the sewage system.
3. Do not place them in your bedroom because you wouldn't want any form of negative energy to disturb your comfort and sleep.
4. Don't put cacti in your kitchen since it will affect the taste of your food. Since cactus has thorns, it is believed that they emit negative energy if placed in the said areas.
5. Don't place these thorny plants near your front door, for they will disrupt the flow of positive energy coming into your home with their spines.
