Lucy Torres-Gomez is marking her 23rd wedding anniversary with her husband, Richard Gomez.

To mark the biggest milestone in their relationship so far, the representative of 4th District of Leyte posted a throwback photo of the day her husband proposed to her in front of her parents in Ormoc City.

“Here we are, that one night in December, at my parents' home. It was during this trip you made to Ormoc City that you proposed to me,” she recalled in the caption.

“Four months later, on April 28, 1998, I walked down the aisle of Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Church into your arms and your life as your wife.”

Lucy continued, “23 [years] yesterday. My dearest @richardgomezinstagram, you are my safe place, my courage, my fun, and my adventure.

“And the more I know you, the more I love you.”

Meanwhile, their daughter, Juliana, also celebrated her parents' achievement by posting a series of photographs of the couple looking sweeter than ever.

She simply captioned the post with “23 years of the sweetest love I've ever known.”

Lucy had been vocal about her crush on the actor.

According to several interviews, she had a crush on Richard Gomez since she was 12.

However, their love story began on the set of a shampoo commercial shot in Lake Caliraya in 1993, where they worked together.

It was love at first sight for Richard Gomez, and Lucy Torres was able to marry the man she always dreamed of.
