Abigail Marquez, popularly known as "Lumpia Queen," received her highest recognition to date after getting nominated for the 28th Annual Webby Awards People's Voice.
Abi, who gained popularity on TikTok for being experimental with her lumpia recipes, is among the five content creators vying for the award with the best content for food and drink under the 'Social - General Social' category.
Among her viral videos is her Jollibee-inspired peach mango pie but wrapped in lumpia wrappers instead of puff pastry. This is one of her most-viewed TikTok videos yet with a staggering 31 million views.
According to The New York Times, the Webbys is "the Internet's highest honor."
"I'm a young home cook from the Philippines on a mission to fill the social media space with fun, valuable cooking tutorials like my deep-fried ice cream that reached 144,000,000 people around the globe," Abi said in an Instagram video.
"Since I started creating content two years ago, I've always been proud to highlight Filipino food, our street food, our ulams, and desserts. And recently I'm so happy to discover that these TikTok [videos] alone have reached one billion views worldwide--a huge milestone for me and my country.
"I'm extremely grateful for this opportunity that you've given me. Now, let's win this Webby as a cherry on top."
As of writing, voting for the Webbys has ended.
Winners for The 28th Annual Webby Awards will be announced on April 23 and will be celebrated at a star-studded in-person award show on May 13, hosted by Amber Ruffin, at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
