Just like her fellow celebrities, Pepito Manaloto star Mosang knows the importance of keeping a side hustle while being in the showbiz industry. Because of this, she built her own karinderya (food cart), shining a light on her signature dish, budbod.
During her latest appearance on GTV's cooking talk show Lutong Bahay, the actress shared with Mikee Quintos and Hazel Cheffy the story behind her food business and signature dish.
According to Mosang, it was her mother who gave her the advice to start a business and determine her signature dish, which turned out to be budbod, made with egg fried rice and chorizo.

“My mom told me 'kung gusto mong mag-succeed na 'pag nagluluto ka, maghanap ka ng isang importanteng dish na ikaw lang ang meron,'” said Mosang. “Ang nanay ko ay mahilig ding magluto [at] may dati kaming karinderya sa Antonio Rivera.”
Mosang also revealed that her food business is a backup plan, especially since she is a single mother.
Because of her tasty budbod, Mosang's food cart earns over P50,000, and she said she dedicates all the success of her business to her late mom who has been very supportive from the beginning.
“Itong budbod, lahat ng 'to, in memory of my mom and my dad, and ito 'yung pasasalamat ko [sa kanila],” Mosang told Mikee.
