Since people are encouraged to stay home during the enhanced community quarantine, Unang Hirit host Lyn Ching braved giving her son a home haircut.
She shared a few photos of her giving her son Matty a haircut from the safety of their home in Marikina.
"Snip. Snip. Snip summer heat means shorter hair! Since we can't leave the house, it's momma to the rescue," she wrote on her Instagram account.
Lyn used an electric razor to trim her son's hair because they are generally safe.
"Haven't cut my son's hair in a LONG time because I'm always afraid of cutting off his ears by accident. But desperate times call for desperate measures. I just borrowed my hubby's razor which has much-needed safety features and et voila!" she says.
She also hopes to be able to visit the barbershop once the lockdown is over.
"Shorter and neater hair.... well.... less hair at least. I want his hair to still be long enough for when the barbershops are open again. After all, he has yet to take his graduation picture," she shared.
Unang Hirit is temporarily off-air to protect its employees from the spread of COVID-19.
