In the May 3 edition of her Eat Bulaga Facebook live chat, Maine Mendoza urged netizens to put an end to bashing and fighting on social media.

“Sana pala tigilan niyo na ang bangayan sa social media kasi wala talagang magandang naidudulot 'yan,” she said.

The social media and television star emphasized that on most occasions, a non-issue becomes a problem because of exchanges online.

“Naku, hayaan niyo na lang ‘yan dahil wala namang problema in the first place. Okay naman ang lahat kaya 'wag na nating palakihin pa at i-big deal ang mga bagay-bagay,” she added.

In a blog entry published last April, she confessed to battling negativity in her life and to striving to become more positive.

Her love team partner Alden Richards also told her that receiving negative comments is part of showbiz and advised her to just pray for their bashers.
