The two got engaged in Japan back in November 2022.

She also shed light on her recent hospitalization, which Robi confirmed in his post last July 18.

In a separate post on Instagram, Maiqui revealed that she was diagnosed with a rare autoimmune disease called dermatomyositis.

According to hopkinsmedicine.org, dermatomyositis is a rare disease that causes muscle inflammation and skin rash. It's one of a group of muscle diseases that cause muscle inflammation and swelling. It's different from other muscle diseases because it also causes skin problems.

It can occur at any age, but it mostly affects adults aged 50 to 70. Women are twice as likely to be diagnosed with the disease.

Maiqui went on to say that she just began her treatment and admitted that there are good and bay days on her road to recovery.

“What was supposed to be an exciting year of wedding planning, preparing for a new home and working on my career, life had other plans for me… I got sick.”

She added, “I have a rare autoimmune disease called Dermatomyositis that causes muscle weakness, inflammation and a skin rash.

“I already started treatment but the journey to recovery is far from over. There are good days but there are still bad days. I am hopeful that this is just temporary and I will work on getting better one day at a time.

“Thank you to everyone who sent prayers and messages of love and support! It meant a lot to me.”
