Marc Pingris to Coach Reyes: “Kahit boo ka nila hayaan mo sila ganyan naman ang Pilipino mahal ka lang nila pag panalo ang team.”
Retired PBA star and former Gilas Pilipinas player Marc Pingris did not mince his words on Instagram after seeing head coach Chot Reyes get booed by fans at the Mall of Asia Arena last Monday, August 29.
Gilas Pilipinas won their encounter with Saudi Arabia, 84-46 in the fourth window of the 2023 FIBA World Cup Asian Qualifiers.
GMA Sports tweeted a video of the moment when coach Reyes was booed by the crowd.

Dubbed as Pinoy Sakuragi in the PBA, Marc expressed his displeasure on what happened and showed his support to coach Reyes via his post on Instagram Story.
He wrote, “Salamat coach sa hirap at tiyaga mo sa team!”
Pingris continued, “Sa mga kababayan ko na Pilipino sana po ipakita natin ang tunay na pagmamahal ng isang Pilipino sa atin bayan. Manalo matalo suporta po tayo.”
“Labang lang coach, kahit i-boo ka nila hayaan mo sila ganyan naman ang Pilipino mahal ka lang nila pag panalo ang team. 'Pag talo galit sila sa'yo. Sana po 'wag ganon, dahil Pilipino po tayo lahat.”
