Filipina skateboarder and Olympian Margielyn Didal went from being an instant celebrity in Brazil to being the new face of international brand H&M's streetwear collection called The Skate Drop.
Yes, our girl, Margielyn is the star of the brand's latest drop in the Philippines, which will surely make you want to bring out your inner skater girl or skater boy.
The pieces in the streetwear collection were exclusively handpicked by Margielyn herself. It includes graphic tees, hoodies, cargo pants, caps, and socks that have images of iconic and well-loved Sesame Street characters like Cookie Monster and Elmo.
In a collaboration video of the brand with Skate Pilipinas, Margielyn can be seen showing off her moves in an indoor skatepark with fellow skaters Taishi Arai and Demetrio Cuevas.
In the video, Margielyn says, “Skateboarding changed my life.”
The Cebuana Olympian also posted videos and photos of the window display in the brand's Cebu branch in her Instagram stories.
She was clearly ecstatic about being the brand's new ambassador and asked her supporters to check out the streetwear collection.
“Visit Ayala H&M Cebu to support your girl,” says Margielyn.
