Mariah Carey has given fans a glimpse of what could be her next musical chapter, revealing that she plans to release new music next year.
Mariah Carey has hinted that she is already looking ahead to her next musical chapter.
The singer made the revelation during a brief interview with content creator Jack Banana in Beverly Hills. When Jack Banana asked about her plans for new music, Mariah gave a short but promising answer.
“Soon. Next year,” she said.
Her response suggests that fans could hear new material from Mariah in 2027, although she has yet to announce an official release date or share further details about the project.
The possible new release would follow her 2025 release Here For It All, her 16th studio album. The record debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200 and received positive reviews.
Mariah had also previously teased a deluxe edition of the album, but the expanded version has yet to be released.
It remains unclear whether the music she is planning for 2027 will be part of the Here For It All era or a completely new project. Mariah has not revealed a title, track list, collaborators, or details about the sound of the upcoming material.
For her longtime fans, however, even the brief update is enough to spark excitement.
With a career spanning several decades, Mariah remains one of pop and R&B's most influential artists. Her catalog includes numerous enduring hits, while her holiday classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has become a yearly Christmas tradition for listeners around the world.
