Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes

Media, actors/performers, and production staff and crew are now eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccine as part of the A4 priority group.

Kapuso Primetime Couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes got their first shot of Sinovac COVID-19 vaccine on Saturday, June 12.

Marian and Dingdong are just two of the 1,300 entertainment workers that have received their first jab of vaccine today as part of the 'Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat' campaign initiative of the Task Force T3 for the private sector.

Media, actors/performers, and production staff and crew are now eligible to receive COVID-19 vaccine because they are essential workers who are part of the A4 priority group.

Dingdong took to his Instagram account to express his thanks to the team behind the 'Ingat Angat Bakuna Lahat' campaign for including entertainment workers, as well as delivery riders, self-employed persons, and other workers, in the A4 priority group.

"Sa linya ng aming trabaho, madalas ay kailangan mag-shoot sa labas. Kapag sasabak na sa eksena, mask-off. Kailangan naming tanggalin ang aming first line of defense sa COVID-19.

"Kaya ngayong Araw ng Kalayaan, gusto naming magpasalamat sa Ingat Angat at sa lahat ng ating frontliners dahil ngayon din nagsimula ang pagbabakuna sa A4 Priority Group na kasama ang media and entertainment industry, delivery service riders, mga self-employed, at ang iba pang mga manggagawa na nakikipagsapalaran sa pagpunta sa kanilang mga trabaho," Dingdong wrote, alongside photos of him and Marian during the vaccination activity in Venice Grand Canal Mall in Taguig.

Dingdong admitted that he was nervous to get the COVID-19 vaccine at first but for the benefit of his loved ones and the people around him, he was able to overcome his nerves.

"Kabado man, through research and consultation with experts, mas nagkaroon ako ng lakas ng loob para magpabakuna. This is my way of ensuring not only my health and safety, but also of my loved ones and my community," Dingdong concluded, adding #IngatAngatBakunaLahat.
