Kapuso actresses Marian Rivera and Heart Evangelista have made their friendship more public, and netizens are rejoicing.

In a report on 24 Oras by Aubrey Carampel, Marian and Heart met and had a conversation during the 84th birthday party of Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, where he announced that he's retiring as GMA Network's CEO after headlining the network's rise as the top television station in the Philippines. Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., GMA Network's current president and chief operating officer, will take over as CEO in 2024.

A video from 24 Oras showed the heartfelt moment between the two actresses as they laughed, shared a big hug, exchanged a high-five, and chatted.

GMA Integrated News shared Marian's reaction to the reunion, "Catch up lang kami ng mga kwentuhan," Marian said, when asked about their reunion. She added, “And happy ako na nagkita kami."

The birthday event took place at the Isla Ballroom of EDSA Shangri-La Hotel on Saturday.

Marian and Heart previously worked together in 2011 for the comedy film Temptation Island with Rufa Mae Quinto, Lovi Poe, and Solenn Heussaff.

Since then, the two actresses have not been seen publicly interacting together, leading some rumors that they might have drifted apart.

The controversy was finally put to rest when Marian and Heart followed each other on Instagram in October.

Heart was also interviewed by 24 Oras about her reconciliation with Marian, where she said, “Real queens support each other.”

Marian, likewise, affirmed their friendship renewal happened “in God's perfect time.”
