Several Kapuso stars and personalities receive nomination nods from The EDDYS.

Perfectly fitting for its dazzling 75th Anniversary, GMA Network receives another wave of recognition for its brilliant and oustanding Kapuso stars, films, and production teams.

Recently, the 8th Entertainment Editors' Choice Awards (The EDDYS) unveiled its roster of nominees, honoring excellence in the local entertainment industry.

Leading the list is none other than Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera, who received a Best Actress nomination for her empowering performance in Balota.

In the Best Actor category, several Kapuso stars received nominations, including Dennis Trillo (Green Bones), Alden Richards (Hello, Love, Again), and Kokoy de Santos (Your Mother Son). Fellow nominees in the category include Joel Torre for Lolo and the Kid, and It's Showtime host Vice Ganda for And the Bread Winner Is.

Primetime Action Hero Ruru Madrid also received a nod for Best Supporting Actor for his role in Green Bones, alongside Joross Gamboa for Hello, Love, Again.

Speaking of the romantic sequel, Kathryn Bernardo and Alden Richards were recognized as Box Office Heroes. The highest-grossing film of the year also earned multiple nominations in creative and technical categories.

Meanwhile, the inspirational drama film Green Bones emerged as a strong contender with nine nominations. The award-winning movie is nominated once again as Best Picture. Director Zig Dulay received a nod for Best Director, while National Artist Ricky Lee and Angeli Atienza were nominated for Best Screenplay.

The film's excellence in technical and artistic craft was also recognized with nominations for Best Cinematography (Neil Daza), Best Editing (Benjamin Tolentino), Best Production Design (Maolen Fadul), and Best Musical Score (Len Calvo).

To cap it off, GMA Pictures was recognized as Producer of the Year in recognition for its consistent excellence and impactful contributions to cinema over the past year.

The EDDYS continues to shine as a prestigious local film event that pays tribute to actors, craftsmen, directors, writers, producers, and other creative forces behind the Philippine cinema. It is organized by the Society of Philippine Entertainment Editors (SPEEd).

Congratulations to all the honored Kapuso stars and creatives!
