Marian Rivera once again showed her commitment to public service as she joined GMA Kapuso Foundation's relief efforts, donating sacks of rice and helping prepare aid packages for families affected by Typhoon Tino and Super Typhoon Uwan.
During Nelson Canlas' 24 Oras report on Friday, November 14, the actress encouraged Filipinos to participate in ongoing relief operations, highlighting how every contribution counts.
"Walang maliit na tulong basta sama-sama, kaya sa mga hindi pa nakakapag-donate sana po mag-donate po tayo para sa mga kababayan natin, para makatulong tayo," she said.
Aside from Marian, several Sparkle talents also devoted their time to the repacking activity. Among those spotted helping were Prince Carlos, Prince Clemente, Althea Ablan, Ronnie Liang, and members of Cloud 7.
Prince Carlos reflected on why he chose to volunteer, saying, "I think it's the least we can do na sobrang layo natin sa kanila. 'Yun lang 'yung magagawa natin paraan para makatulong."
Marian recently received recognition at the Tingting's List: The Elegant Filipinas 2025 event, joining GMA Network Senior Vice President Atty. Annette Gozon-Valdes and Department of Justice Undersecretary Atty. Margarita Gutierrez among the honorees.
The report also revealed that Atty. Gozon-Valdes partnered with Atty. Gutierrez, who co-founded the nonprofit group Kababaihan, to ensure that the organization's collected funds would be turned over to the Kapuso Foundation for disaster response.
Atty. Gutierrez explained, "'Yung Kababaihan organization, napili nila ang GMA Kapuso Foundation para i-donate 'yung kanilang na-collect po na donation para po sa mga victims po ng Typhoon Uwan at ng Tino na rin po."
Atty. Gozon-Valdes, meanwhile, expressed appreciation for the gesture, saying, "Nagpapasalamat ako sa kanila, kasi actually nangyari 'yung event nun bago 'yung mga bagyo and naisip pa nila na GMA Foundation 'yung bigyan at i-trust ng mga donations nila."
To support the foundation's continuous relief efforts, donors may contribute through various banking partners, including Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, as well as Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee.
