Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera reminded everyone why she is one of the top Pinoy content creators on TikTok by doing her own version of the popular 'Asoka' makeup trend.
According to a report from NBC News, the Asoka trend takes inspiration from a 2001 Hindi film of the same name, and it has creators styling themselves in Indian bridal hair, makeup, and outfits to the beat of one of the movie's songs.
For Marian, she did her own twist on the Asoka makeup video and in the latter part of the clip, transformed into her signature look as Marimar.
It was back in 2007 when Marian was chosen to star in the Pinoy adaptation of the hit Mexican telenovela wherein she acted alongside Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes.
A few years later, Miss World 2013 winner Megan Young played the title role of Marimar in the 2015 version.
It seems Marian temporarily removed the TikTok video, but as of 8:05 p.m. yesterday, April 27, the content has generated over 1.9 million views already on the app.
Meanwhile, her Asoka makeup video is available on Facebook and Instagram as of writing.
In her interview with 24 Oras Weekend on April 27, Marian stated that she wanted to fulfill the request of her fans saying, “Walang dahilan para hindi ko siya gawin sa mga taong nagmamahal at sumusuporta sa akin.”
Last year, the multi-awarded Kapuso actress was hailed by TikTok Philippines as Breakthrough Creator of the Year.
