The Primetime Queen also included a message for the Primetime King.
Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera is unable to join her husband Kapuso Primetime King Dingdong Dantes in Cebu to give her outmost support in his very first Ironman 70.3 Asia-Pacific Championship today, August 7.
She instead asked the patroness of cyclists, Saint Madonna del Ghisallo for her husband’s safety in the bike race.
“Lord, protect them from harm as they go on this bike ride. Guide them away from accidents. Instill in them a level of awareness to thwart others who are inconsiderate to our vulnerability on the roadways,” the Kapuso star prayed to the patroness of local travelers.
The Yan Ang Morning! host also praised her husband for embracing the challenge of sportsmanship, “Good luck Mahal! Ngayon pa lang [ay] proud na kami ni Baby Z sa ‘yo.”
Meanwhile, the Kapuso actor is “humbled and honored to stand amongst ‘true’ and dedicated athletes who already are experts in this sport.”
He said on Instagram, “Much respect to all who have embraced this difficult commitment of bringing one's fitness to a different level. Thank you for the inspiration!”
Dingdong will race alongside Gilbert Remulla and Ige Lopez and promised his team to “stick to the plan of finishing strong, safe, and happy.”
