The group is comprised of researchers and graduates of the University of the Philippines Marine Science Institute. After getting into their scuba gear, the scientists went underwater and danced to Sarah Geronimo's hit song in one of their research sites in Sabang Beach, Puerto Galera.

Researcher Jeremie Punzalan said they did the challenge during their fun dive after conducting fieldwork and survey on marine life. He said, “Fans ng 'Tala' talaga 'yung iba sa amin, kaya nag-practice pa kami.”

What's more, the whole video was taken in just one take. "Isang beses lang shinoot 'yun kasi limited 'yung air supply namin," he revealed.

Aside from being scientists, they are all also licensed divers and they did the challenge with a rescue and dive master nearby.

The viral video has already reached over 100,000 views online, with netizens commenting their admiration for the group's safety precautions and one-of-a-kind twist to the challenge.
