Marion Aunor hopes to be more active with her music career again after starting her new music label.

Marion Aunor wants to refocus on her career after taking a break from the limelight, and she's starting via a Valentine's Day concert called “Valentines Show Para Sa Walang Ka-Valentine.”

Directed by Vivian Poblete with musical direction by Elmer Blancaflor, Marion's concept stems from her desire to offer singles a fabulous space where they can enjoy the day, which is traditionally reserved for couples. It will be held on the night of February 14 at the Viva Café in Cubao, Quezon City.

“I called it 'Valentines Show Para Sa Walang Ka-Valentine' para magsama-sama tayo. Pero kung meron, okay lang din naman, everyone's welcome naman. Parang intimate show lang naman siya,” Marion told GMANetwork.com and other select entertainment media in an interview held recently.

She added, “So, yung Valentine's Day kasi can quickly turn into Singles' Awareness Day (S.A.D.). Ayaw ko naman na maging sad tayong lahat ngayong Valentine's Day. At saka perfect naman ang songs ko--may hugot, may fun lang. Feeling ko lang din kasi na mas nakaka-connect ako sa audience ko kapag ganun yung theme ng shows.”

In the same show, Marion will officially launch her new single titled “Nahulog.”

“It's for everyone who's feeling in love or who would like to confess their love for special someone,” she briefly described her new song.

New record label

Marion admitted that she's been preoccupied with her new record label called Wild Dreams Records that why she's been absent from the music scene as a singer. She released her last song titled “Mahal Kita Ngayon” in 2020.

“For me, I wanted to keep evolving,” said the 31-year-old singer about starting her music label.

“Parang yung direction na rin na mayroon na kaming music production company, na ang next step is to have my own record label.”

According to her, her company aims to encourage aspiring music artist to pursue their dreams.

Then, I've always been the type of person na parang gusto kong pinu-push yung people to pursue their dreams kaya Wild Dreams Records. Like yung mga kinukuha kong artists… like, Matt Wilson, who is actually a high school teacher, sumisikat sa TikTok.

“Yung mga ganung kind of back story, na kahit may day job but, at the same time, they can still pursue their dreams. Ganun yung advocacy behind Wild Dreams, na anyone can dream and anyone can pursue it.”

Since the company just started, Marion, along with her sister, is very hands-on to their talents.

“Kahit sa recording session sinasamahan namin yung artist para sabihin kung ano yung gagawin, paano yung areglo.

“All-around [kami] kasi boutique label pa lang din, so we really need to be hands-on, especially ngayon na baby pa lang yung label kaya kailangan talaga each aspect nakatutok kami.”

On her “Valentines Show Para Sa Walang Ka-Valentine” show, Marion will also share the stage to Wild Dreams artists.

“I really want to showcase them on February 14, so I'll be singing some songs with them and let them perform on stage,” she said in the end.
