Maritoni Fernandez just completed her Dengvaxia vaccine and revealed that she needed the protection since she's at "high risk for fatality" if she contracts Dengue again.
The actress narrated how she suffered from hemorrhagic dengue a few years ago, which makes her more likely to get severe symptoms if she ever gets dengue again.
In a photo taken at the Samitivej Hospital in Thailand, Maritoni said, "Last shot done. Dengvaxia 3rd dose."
"Thank you Lord. Got hemorrhagic dengue a few years back and was told that I'm high risk for fatality if I get it again so since we can't get Dengvaxia in Manila anymore, I've had the perfect excuse to come to Bangkok every 6 months! Plus I get to see all my Thai ladies whom I love so much."
Recently, Maritoni visited London for her mother's 80th birthday celebration spent with family and friends.
Maritoni also battled breast cancer in 2001 after getting diagnosed with the disease soon after her 30th birthday.
