Among the many digital posts, one particular poster caught the attention of netizens. On the show's Facebook page, Kapuso fans noticed a special anniversary poster featuring GMA News reporter and host Mariz Umali. The host is seen in the poster smiling brightly in a floral blue dress, with the number 25 prominently featured in the photo. The caption read, "Mariz, loyal sa Unang Hirit!"

The post sparked a flurry of reactions in the comments section, with many expressing their support for the long-running morning show. However, the special anniversary post went viral for an another reason. Many netizens began commenting on the post jokingly relating it to the trending topic surrounding actors Anthony Jennings and Maris Racal.

For context, Anthony's ex-girlfriend, Jam Villanueva, shared screenshots on Instagram detailing the alleged affair between Anthony and Maris. The two trended online starting last night, December 3.

While Mariz Umali is not in any way involved in the issue, having the same name as the actress, albeit a different spelling, is enough for her to also trend online.

Netizens humorously commented on the post with lines like "Pinuyat mo kami, Mariz" and "Ibang Maris ata napanood ko." Memes soon flooded social media, garnering several reactions online.
