OPM singer Mark Bautista admitted that he has considered staying in the U.S. for good.

During the press conference for 'Eto na! Musikal nAPO!' where he is part of the cast, Mark revealed, "‘Yung first talaga, it’s funny, naisip ko na mag-States na lang kaya ako? Mag-audition na lang ako don nang mag-audition. Maghanap na ako dun ng roles.”

But Mark decided to return to the Philippines after receiving musical roles and a concert offer. He thought to himself, “Dito muna ako, let’s do this.”

After contemplating the direction of his career, Mark came to a few realizations. “May mga bagay na hindi mo pinaplano pero 'yun 'yung binibigay sa ’yo at kailangan mong tanggapin kasi ‘yung plano mo hindi pa puwede.”

He also confessed that though he’s more honest about his sexuality now, his coming out process is more of a personal journey.

He shared, “May nagsabi pa nga na, ‘Mark puwede ka na pumunta ‘dun sa [LGBT] parade.'”

But Mark decided he’s not ready for it yet. “Wala pa sa isip ko ‘yung ganon. Pero siyempre ‘yung support ko rin naman sa LGBT community andiyan pa rin. But this is my personal journey.”

He added, “Kaya sabi ko, kapag nailabas ko ‘yun (referring to his book 'Beyond the Mark'), okay na ako. Tuloy-tuloy na ako sa gusto kong gawin sa buhay.”
