StarStruck Season One Ultimate Male Survivor Mark Herras still gets giddy when he thinks about his experience in the reality-based artista search.
Asked about what his most favorite thing about being part of StarStruck was, the younger Mark would say that it was winning. Him now, meanwhile, would give a different answer.
“Ang lagi ko kasing sagot [noon was] 'yung final judgment. [Pero naisip ko na ang ‘di ko makakalimutan was] 'yung naging bonding ng buong grupo. 'Yung buong batch one,” he said.
They were all teenagers who started out competitive and determined to win but eventually became closer and even had different kinds of relationships.
“'Yung naging bonding [namin], hindi lang kami basta magkakalaban sa StarStruck noon. Well nung una, siyempre ganun 'yung nangyari. Pero eventually, after that, naging magbabarkada kami, naging magkakaibigan. 'Yung iba naging lovers, naging ex-lovers,” he added.
After StarStruck season one, a formative, fun and emotional chapter of their lives, a strong bond remained even a decade hence.
“Ang natira 'yung friendship at puwede namin ituring pamilya 'yung isa’t-isa. [Iba] 'yung bonding ng buong grupo,” the dancer-actor declared.
