Mark Herras admits he has not yet overcome the loss of his adoptive gay parents; Daddy Jun and Tito Hermie.

Mark Herras revealed that he has not yet overcome the challenge brought about by the passing of his adoptive gay parents, Tito Hermie and Daddy Jun.

In his interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda on Tuesday, February 4, Tito Boy asked Mark how he overcame the hardships he experienced in life.

"Actually, parang feel ko, hindi ko siya nalampasan until now. Doon nabuo 'yung depression, anxiety. [Kapag] meron akong sini-celebrate na death anniversary nila, minsan sobrang nagbi-breakdown ako 'pag mag-isa ako," Mark said.

"One time, I remember, I think, huminto ako sa isang expressway. So, parang tinatanong ko sila, 'Did I ever say thank you to you, guys?' Iyak ako, iyak ako. Kumbaga, hindi ko siya nalagpasan. Hindi ako nakakapagluksa nang maayos," pagpapatuloy niya.

Despite this, Mark said that he needed to move on for the sake of his family.

"But I need to move on. Kasi meron na akong sariling pamilya na binubuhay. 'Yung anak ko, 'yung magiging anak ko. And then my wife. At hindi naman ako pinabayaan ng mga in-laws ko, sobrang thankful, sobrang swerte ako sa kanila," sabi pa niya.

Although he is not able to visit them often, Mark said that he will never forget Tito Hermie and Daddy Jun, and they will always remain in his heart.

"So, imbes na mag-grieve ako, imbes na malungkot ako, ma-depress ako, at alam mo 'yun, 'yung sarili ko, pabayaan ko, e, lumalaban ako sa buhay kasi meron akong kailangan buhayin," patuloy niya.

Mark had previously shared in past interviews about having gay parents and how they raised him with care.

Claudio Herras, Jr. or Daddy Jun passed away in 2014, while his Tito Hermie (Herminigildo Santos) passed away in 2016.
