Despite his role in the upcoming movie The Cheating Game where he plays as the person who cheats on his girlfriend, Kapuso actor Martin del Rosario shared how important it is to be loyal to your partner.

“Kasi ang loyalty, ano 'yan e, pinapakita niyang kung gaano mo nirerespeto 'yung partner mo. 'Pag mahal mo 'yung tao, dapat nirerespeto mo,” Martin said during his interview in the GMA Regional TV morning show, Mornings with GMA Regional TV.

He then shared a bit about his character in the movie, Brian, who is the ex-boyfriend of Hope, played by Julie Anne San Jose.

“Si Brian, mahal naman niya si Hope, mahal na mahal niya actually. Kaso itong si Brian, may pagkamahina, mahina sa mga temptation, mabilis siya matukso, ganyan,” he said.

He also gave some snippets of what the movie is about, “Ang story kasi nito is about a girl, kung paano siya makakapag-move on sa ex-boyfriend niya, and kung paano niya mahahanap 'yung happiness du'n sa bago niyang magiging - si Miguel, si Rayver Cruz.”

Meanwhile, Julie and Rayver, who plays the two lead characters in their first-ever movie together, expressed how excited they are for the fans to watch and see them in a different light from what people usually see of the couple.

“Sobrang excited mapanood ng mga tao 'yung movie na ginawa namin kasi iba naman 'to sa napapanood nila sa'min,” Rayver said in their own interview previously on the morning show.

While Martin plays the role of the cheater in the movie, when asked whether he has cheated or has been cheated on before, the actor instead related a story about his past relationship that he described as “toxic.”

“Nag-break kayo, pero may ginawa ka, pero since mahal niyo 'yung isa't isa, magbabalikan kayo, pero hindi mo sasabihin 'yung ginawa mo nu'ng time na hindi kayo ok,” he recalled.

“So I guess cheating 'yun kasi lying is cheating. Kung baga sa kagustuhan naming dalawa na magkabalikan, i-work out, may mga details kaming in-omit para lang mag-work,” he shared.
