
Get ready to meet the newest actors to play the mutant team in an upcoming X-Men film. Marvel Studios announced during the recent “D23: The Official Disney Fan Club,” of simply “D23,” the upcoming rebooted X-Men film slated to be released on May 5, 2028.
During the event, Marvel Studios introduced the newest cast of mutant heroes for the reboot which included Sadie Sink, who was first introduced in Spider-Man: Brand New Day as the mutant telepath Jean Grey.
During “D23,” Sadie announced, “We are here to talk about something else. We're here to talk about the X-Men.”
Marvel Studios president and producer, Kevin Feige, shared that he just met some of the cast of the upcoming film backstage “for the very first time.”
This included Kit Connor who will play the role of Scott Summers or Cyclops, Christopher Abbott who will take on the role of mentor and telepath Charles Xavier or Professor X, Samara Weaving as the diamond clad Emma Frost, Inde Navarette as the power-stealing Anna Marie or Rogue, and Maya Boyd will play the role of weather-controlling mutant Ororo Munroe or Storm.
“We will have more of that soon but we wanted to bring them in to say hello,” Kevin said during the event.
The film will be directed by Jake Schreier and will be a part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Before the upcoming reboot, X-Man Wolverine or Logan, played by Hugh Jackman, was already introduced to Marvel during the Deadpool and Wolverine movie together with Deadpool played by Ryan Reynolds.
Aside from that, an iteration of Professor X from the 2000s trilogy played by Patrick Stewart was included as part of the group of heroes called the Illuminati during the events of Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness.
Members of the 2000s X-Men team are also set to appear in the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday film.
