With his tight-fitting jeans, lace-up boots, and black skin-tight tank top, Marvin Agustin officially bade his nice guy days goodbye.
You’d think he couldn’t pull it off, but with his tight-fitting jeans, lace-up boots, and black skin-tight sando, Marvin Agustin officially bade his nice guy days goodbye.
Yup, Marvin is now a bad boy! He plays Hector, Gabriela’s ex-boyfriend in the adventure teleserye
Asian Treasures. Like Elias (Robin Padilla) and Gabriela (
Angel Locsin), it is also Hector’s quest to find the hidden treasures.

“Well, it’s a new character for me, it’s something different, not just different, but talagang (not the Marvin that you know),” he says mysteriously.
“They explained at the start that my dad was shot right in front of me because of the Asian treasures. Alam kong kaya naging parang challenge sa akin ‘yung (hanapin ang) Asian treasures is para maipaghiganti ko ‘yung tatay ko,” Marvin explains. “But along the way, in the middle of the story, we will all realize, Elias, Gabriela, and I, na hindi nila makukuha ‘yung treasure without me, at hindi ko rin makukuha ‘yung treasure without them. Sama-sama kami in search for the treasure.”

Marvin, whose last primetime venture was the nakakakilig
I Luv NY, says that
Asian Treasures is one of the most outrageous soaps that GMA has produced. He explains, “(Particularly) in terms of budget, scenes, locations, parang kung anong maisip, ginagawa nila. Alam mo ‘yun? So ang galling-galing!”
For instance, the main cast will be traveling all over Asia (their first stop was in Bangkok, Thailand February) to shoot the first of many exotic scenes. But it isn't about worldly travel. Since
Asian Treasures is filled with tidbits of Philippine history, it is essential for the crew to visit different far-away locations where historical events took place.
Aside from this, no less than the RP Muay Thai team trained the main cast for their action scenes! It’s a definite perk that leading man Binoe is head of the Muay Thai Association of the Philippines and helps manage the activities of the Philippine Team.
Let’s see if Marvin’s tougher, manlier image will be a refreshing change from the roles he used to play. In the meantime, watch out for more scenic travels and action-filled surprises in the following weeks of
