Matteo Guidicelli was alarmed over an online scam using him and his wife, Sarah Geronimo.

Matteo Guidicelli immediately informed the public about an online scam using his and Sarah Geronimo's names, promising individuals cash assistance to people with national ID.

The Guidicelli couple are celebrity ambassadors of the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), which issues the national ID under Philippine Identification System (Phil Sys).

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter) last March 11, the Black Rider actor reposted a fan's tweet that contained a screenshot of the alleged scam.

Matteo wrote, "Big SCAM. Please be careful."

Matteo's fellow Kapuso like Comedy Concert Queen Aiai De Alas and Tiktoclock host Kim Atienza were also victims of online scam. It was previously reported that these celebrities found out that their images were used without their consent to promote a certain product, which they do not endorse.
