“I gained a real-life sister!” says Giorgia Guidicelli, the younger and only sister of Matteo, to Sarah Geronimo after the two tied the knot in a secret wedding last February 20.
Giorgia posted two photos of her and the singer taken during her own wedding last December where Sarah acted as her maid of honor.
She wrote, “One week ago today, I gained a real-life sister.
“Welcome to the family, Mrs. Guidicelli!!! We love you!!!”
During Giorgia's wedding, it is very evident how the two have already become close during the course of Sarah and Matteo's relationship.
In her speech for the bride, Sarah was a bit emotional and shared how Giorgia played a role in the relationship.
Sarah said, “Dearest Giorgia, I want to take this opportunity to thank you from the bottom of my heart. For being kind to me, for treating me like a friend ever since Matt introduced us through a video call.
“[Thank you] for never ignoring my calls, for returning my calls. Thank you for not judging me, Giorgia. For being someone I can always turn to when things get rough with your nakababatang kuya. And also for being patient to your nakababatang ate.”
Secret wedding
Actor Matteo Guidicelli finally spoke up on Wednesday, February 26, about his “perfect” secret wedding with the singer
On an Instagram post, he cleared the air on the alleged scuffle that ensued between him and Sarah's bodyguard because the ceremony was supposed to be kept mum from Sarah's mother, Divine.
“A day full of pure love, honesty and genuine emotions. Yes, we got married. Mr. and Mrs. Guidicelli.
“First and foremost, we would like to express the overwhelming joy, love, and excitement we have in beginning our life together.
“We decided to keep everything as intimate as possible because of private matters.
“We are happy, we are blessed, and we are husband and wife! Let's always celebrate life and love! Nothing will ever defeat pure honest LOVE.”
It was reported on February 21 that the two tied the knot but the confirmation came from a police report filed by bodyguard Jerry Tamara after he was allegedly punched in the throat by Matteo.
The two were recently seen shopping together with celebrity doctor Vicki Belo and daughter Scarlet Snow Belo at a local mall in preparation for their move to their new home.
According to Vicki, the two are happily “doing normal husband and wife duties” and that Matteo's wish for his wife is “to be the happiest woman in the world.”
