Simon Cowell also shares love on Matty Juniosa's golden buzzer-worthy audition.

The showcase of Filipino talent continues as another Pinoy makes waves on the international stage.

Recently, Filipino contestant Matty Juniosa captivated audiences with his positive energy on Britain's Got Talent.

Matty shared his story as a 27-year-old Filipino working part-time as a waiter. He has been living in Glasgow, United Kingdom for the past three years, carrying a dream of closure after losing in a local talent show.

"I have been waiting for this chance to finally put an end to this long thing that I've been thinking about myself, that I will always be a singing competition loser,” he said.

After a brief exchange with the judges, Matty was more than ready to serenade the audience.

The atmosphere quickly shifted to awe as he showcased his vocal prowess with a powerful rendition of "Purple Rain" by Prince.

With his signature curls and high notes, Matty earned a standing ovation from the audience, even chanting, “Press that gold!”

The judges were equally impressed, including Simon Cowell himself.

"This, I think, is the biggest reaction we had from anyone,” judge Simon said before pressing the Golden Buzzer.

An emotional Matty was seen overwhelmed with gratitude, even sharing a heartfelt hug with Simon.

Sharing the moment online, Simon expressed his admiration for the performance.

"I love this audition and I could have given him 2 Golden Buzzers. Hope you all love the audition as well," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Matty admitted he was still in disbelief after the heartwarming experience.

"Hello everyone! Been sitting on this secret for quite a while but finally letting the cat out the bag! " he shared on Instagram. "This is genuinely such an exciting (time) for me as I grew up watching the show (thank you, Susan Boyle) and I'm in disbelief I have been given this opportunity to perform and compete on this season!"

Fans, including celebrities such as Carmelle Collado, Gary Valenciano, Enzo Almario, Jason Dy, and Kristof Garcia, flooded the comment section with support.

The Golden Buzzer sends a contestant straight to the live shows, allowing them to skip further audition rounds.

Matty's milestone follows other global wins by Filipino artists, including Jessica Sanchez, who earned a Golden Buzzer and went on to win America's Got Talent Season 20.

It also adds to the growing list of Filipino achievements worldwide, alongside Arabelle Dela Cruz's win at the Veiled Cup Korea and Sofronio Vasquez's triumph in U.S.A.'s The Voice.
