Mav Gonzales

Mav Gonzales said she's convinced pregnant women have superpowers.

On Friday, December 19, newlyweds Mav Gonzales and Matthew Valeña revealed that they are expecting their first child on the afternoon talk show Fast Talk with Boy Abunda.

Following the revelation, Mav Gonzales shared a few snaps and videos online capturing the first trimester of her pregnancy.

“An entire trimester of you,” Mav shared. “Covering the EDSA rallies, Blue Ribbon hearings, and Super Typhoon Uwan in my first trimester has convinced me that pregnant women have superpowers, lol.”

She also lauded fellow women who have experienced long-distance relationships during pregnancy.

Mav said, “Ladies who have been in LDRs during pregnancy, I salute you. It was one of the HARDEST things I've ever done, and that's a statement coming from a field reporter.”

Similar to their revelation on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, Mav also talked about her pregnancy on Instagram and shared that she was diagnosed with PCOS one month before their wedding.

“A month before our wedding, I was diagnosed with PCOS and told I'd probably have issues conceiving because of my age, too,” Mav added. “Well, a one-week honeymoon beat the odds.”

“Mini us coming soon,” the reporter wrote on Instagram.
