Mavy and Cassy Legaspi answered what it's like working with their parents, Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, on set.
In the Wala Pa Kaming Title podcast with their mom, Carmina, Candy Pangilinan, Gelli de Belen, and Janice de Belen, the Legaspi twins talked about working with their parents on the TV series, Hating Kapatid, and the movie, Rekonek.
Cassy said the setup was a little weird for her.
“Medyo na-awkward-an ako. Sanay ako na when I work with my family on screen, we're just ourselves lang… Walang role. Ito kasi, may drama, may iyakan, may sigawan, all the works and all. Weird lang. very, very different 'yung dynamics,” Cassy said.
Carmina, meanwhile, highlighted how their family had an agreement before agreeing to do Rekonek and Hating Kapatid that they would do their own thing when on set.
“Pagdating namin sa set, co-actors kami. As co-stars kami. Kung paano ko i-treat 'yung co-stars ko, ganun sila. You do your own thing, I do mine,” Carmina said.
Mavy, on the other hand, said there is no pressure working with his family.
“Hindi siya nakaka-pressure because kung hindi ka prepared on set, alam nila bakit 'cause we're all coming from one household,” he explained.
Mavy also said he realized that he and Carmina have the same working dynamics.
Carmina, Mavy, Cassy, and Zoren are part of Rekonek, which is an official entry to the 2025 Metro Manila Film Festival.
The family also stars in the newest GMA family drama, Hating Kapatid.
