Recently, Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition 2.0 officially concluded with its highly anticipated Big Night on February 28, 2026.
Following the event, the name of one of its hosts, Kapuso actor Mavy Legaspi, trended online after netizens noticed his seemingly “slow” delivery of spiels during the program, a performance that some labeled as “cringe.”
Through an Instagram story, Mavy addressed the issue and explained what happened. According to him, technical difficulties during the Big Night significantly affected his hosting.
The Hating Kapatid actor explained that he experienced the "worst" microphone delay, which resulted in an unclear delivery of his lines due to the echo caused by the audio lag.
“We experienced the worst microphone delay and could literally hear our voices echo in the venue, which made it difficult to talk,” Mavy wrote in his Instagram story.
Mavy also extended an apology to netizens for his sluggish delivery during the social media live broadcast, attributing the issue to the aforementioned technical difficulties.
“I would like to apologize if I sounded slow at times during our online live session on YouTube and Facebook,” he wrote.
Mavy continued by writing, “We did our best, even if it was really difficult because of the sound delay.”
The Kapuso actor extended his gratitude to the audience for their persistence and patience amidst the technical difficulties encountered during the live broadcast.
“Thank you for being patient with us,” wrote Mavy.
Mavy took to a separate Instagram story to acknowledge that the performance was “cringe” once he saw the footage himself.
“OMG cringe nga! Anyway, thank you for supporting PBB Collab 2.0.,” he wrote.
He further expressed that despite the technical issues, the Big Night remained a success. He also didn't forget to congratulate Caprice Cayetano and Lella Ford, who were both crowned as the Big Winners of the edition.
“It was a very successful night. Congrats Caprice and Lella,” Mavy expressed.
Mavy jokingly added in his Instagram story that the reason he went live on social media was to clarify exactly what had happened.
“That's why I went live kanina to talk about this cringe moment. Haha,” he said.
