'Hating Kapatid' star Mavy Legaspi is thankful that his first-ever movie, 'Rekonek,' is an official entry to this year's Metro Manila Film Festival.

Sparkle star Mavy Legaspi will grace the big screen as he is a part of the cast of the upcoming film, Rekonek, which is an official entry to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2025.

The actor's parents, Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi, and twin sister, Cassy, are also a part of the said movie.

In an Instagram post, Mavy shared of him and his family at the advanced screening of Rekonek and expressed how thankful he is for his first-ever film.

"I'm so happy to say that this is my first movie ever and I am truly grateful that my first one is an MMFF film! Dream come true!

"Feeling incredibly proud and happy to be part of this movie. I'm so blessed I got to do this with my family. Grateful for the journey, the learning, the people, and every moment that led to this experience. Truly thankful for the opportunity and the memories made along the way.

"I finally get to say I'm officially part of a movie. It's insane," he wrote.

Mavy also considered his first film as the "best present ever."

In the comments section, Cassy left a heartwarming message for her twin brother saying, "Happy 1st MMFF brother!"

Aside from Rekonek, Mavy Legaspi currently stars as Tyrone in the GMA Afternoon Prime series Hating Kapatid.
